Content Marketing Manager

Content Manager, Kruze Consulting, building content that turns Kruze Consulting’s in-house tax, accounting, Sales and Use Tax (SUT), and State and Local Tax (SALT) expertise into informative resources for venture-backed startup founders.

Who is Bryan Long?

Bryan Long is the Content Manager at Kruze Consulting, where, for five years, he has developed the startup tax, accounting, Sales and Use Tax (SUT), and State and Local Tax (SALT) resources published across our website. He works directly with Certified Public Accountants (CPA) and subject-matter experts to transform technical guidance into clear resources for venture-backed startup founders. His prior experience at the Institute of Internal Auditors and in community banking gives him a working command of accounting that most content specialists lack.

Credentials and Education

  • Master of Business Administration, Business Administration and Management, Stetson University
  • Master of Arts (MA), English, Stetson University

Experience

I oversee the financial content published at Kruze Consulting, where my primary focus is scaling our internal knowledge base, building high-quality resources for venture-backed founders, and supporting other marketing initiatives. Startups move fast, and founders require immediate, accurate answers to high-stakes financial questions. I bridge the gap between technical accounting expertise and founder execution by extracting deep subject matter knowledge from our teams and translating it into clear, systematic guides. My daily operations touch nearly every team within Kruze. I collaborate extensively with our Account Services, Onboarding, SUT, and SALT teams to ensure our public-facing collateral reflects real-time regulatory shifts. For instance, I worked directly with our state tax experts to build our comprehensive 50-state tax nexus maps published on the website. This operational resource allows pre-seed through Series C founders to visually track complex state-by-state compliance thresholds. To safeguard our strict quality and compliance standards, I establish rigorous editorial checkpoints. When tax legislation or tax credit regulations change, I work with Kruze subject matter experts to develop and refine technical content that keeps our clients and other founders up to date. This workflow guarantees that every piece of accounting guidance we publish is structurally sound before it reaches the startup ecosystem.

Based on onboarding feedback and direct conversations at startup conferences, we know founders value depth and clarity. They come to Kruze Consulting for fast, accurate answers to urgent compliance questions like, ‘Does a startup need to file a tax return if it made no money?’ My goal is to build a trusted resource library that answers hundreds of these exact questions directly, giving founders the financial guidance they need instantly.
