Healy Jones runs Financial Strategy for Kruze Consulting, and advises startup founders on their fundraising strategy. Companies he has consulted with have collectively raised over $2 billion in VC funding. He is regularly interviewed by the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, The Financial Times and other news organizations on the trends shaping venture capital and startups.
Formerly he was a venture capitalist and an executive at VC-backed startups, and he founded and successfully exited a bootstrapped tech business.
Healy ran marketing and part of the sales team at a Foundation and Ribbit Capital backed FinTech startup. He also was with Sunrun (NASDAQ: RUN) pre and post IPO, running a large part of the marketing team. He also held VP of Marketing and Finance roles with other startups backed by Venrock and other VCs.
He was a venture investor with technology team at Atlas Venture, and started in venture capital with Summit Partners. His career began in investment banking at Hambrecht and Quist (eventually became JP Morgan Chase).
