Experience

As President of Kruze Consulting, my focus is on building, scaling, and protecting the operational infrastructure that powers accounting and tax compliance for more than 800 venture-backed startups. Roughly 95 percent of startups fail within five years, and the ones that survive keep clean books and clean compliance so that when an investor is ready to write a check or run diligence, the financial side never slows the deal down. My work is making sure Kruze Consulting delivers that standard to every client, every month.

I own the strategic functions at Kruze, including partner relationships, business development, and the key performance metrics that signal whether our delivery meets its accuracy and timeliness standards. I set the benchmarks our global accounting and tax teams operate on. Additionally, I have built out the teams that preserve our accuracy bar as we scale, spanning quality assurance, continuous improvement, and client revenue management. Between 2019 and 2025, the firm grew from under 200 clients to more than 800. Holding service quality steady through growth at that pace is the operational challenge I spend my time on.

Certain work requires the expertise of a licensed CPA, and we handle it with our team of CPAs. For example, when a client applying to do business in Saudi Arabia needs a specialized accounting engagement letter, the kind only a licensed CPA can produce and certify, I review for accuracy and compliance. When a client undergoes a high-visibility quality-of-earnings review with a Big Four auditor, I sit in with our tax experts and controller leads to answer auditors’ questions on how revenue, financials, and procedures are interpreted. We represent our clients at the table shoulder to shoulder.

What distinguishes my background is a combination rarely found in an accounting firm. I spent close to a decade at Oracle, first in management consulting implementing the Oracle E-Business Suite, then in product development leading the public sector, federal, and state and local teams that built feature extensions for Oracle clients. That gives me deep ERP implementation and software-development expertise not only at Oracle, but also at Sungard Data Systems. When Kruze Consulting evaluates a financial technology stack or decides how to build and scale its technology foundation, I can assess it from both the accounting and the software side.

Startups that dissolve usually cannot further fundraise, gain market traction, or pivot in time. We cannot solve product-market fit for a founder; however, we can ensure the financial side never becomes the reason a round falls through, keeping every client due-diligence-ready exactly as investors expect.
